WestJet begins nonstop flights between Halifax and Edinburgh

WestJet expands its transatlantic network with the start of its non-stop flights between Halifax and Edinburgh, the airline’s third route in the Scottish capital. The airline will provide more than 12,000 seats for this summer season between Canada and Scotland.
Flight WS46 was operated in a Boeing 737 MAX 8 registered C-FEWJ, which took off from Halifax-Stanfield International Airport at 23:10 local time on June 20 and landed at Edinburgh Airport at 08:18 the following day, after five hours and eight minutes.

Flight schedule

  • Halifax – Edinburgh Flight WS 46 YHZ 22:35 – EDI 08:10+1 Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
  • Edinburgh – Halifax Flight WS 45 EDI 09:35 – YHZ 11:41 Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Flights are operated on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with 174 seats in two classes: 12 Premium Economy and 162 Economy.
