WestJet connects five Canadian airports to Frankfurt through Condor codeshare

WestJet passengers will now have direct access to Frankfurt International Airport from five Canadian airports thanks to an expanded partnership with Condor. Expanding on the airlines’ previous interline agreement, WestJet and Condor will code share for the first time since they began collaborating together ten years ago.
Through the agreement, WestJet will market itineraries on Condor flights from Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto and Halifax to Frankfurt on a single ticket and through checked baggage, earning WestJet Dollars on the entire journey.
Also, Condor customers can access other destinations in Canada thanks to WestJet’s extensive cabotage network, the Canadian airline will provide connectivity to the U.S. for Condor passengers with stopovers in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto and Halifax later this summer.
«Through our expanded partnership with Condor Airlines, we are opening up incredible opportunities for our customers in Europe and Canada to access an extensive list of travel destinations on both sides of the Atlantic. Our shared passion for affordable leisure travel has allowed our partnership to evolve to meet the growing demand for transatlantic travel, and we look forward to welcoming the world to Canada this summer,» said John Weatherill, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, WestJet Group.
«With Condor’s return to Calgary, it was time to strengthen ties with WestJet and enhance travel for our passengers and business partners.Everyone will be able to access our joint codeshare network to Frankfurt and beyond through WestJet.com, and services can be added regardless of where the ticket is booked. In parallel, we are streamlining connections at all Canadian airports by allowing our passengers to proceed to their connecting gate right after immigration without having to pick up their baggage first,» said Jens Boyd, Condor’s Chief Commercial Officer.
