Alaska Airlines opened a new lounge in Terminal 1 Harvey Milk at San Francisco International Airport. This lounge features 11,000 square feet of space and provides a satisfying pre-flight experience.
“Our Lounges redefine the premium travel experience, providing premium amenities and ample space to escape the hustle and bustle of the airport, whether you’re traveling with Alaska or our Oneworld and global airline partners,” said Sangita Woerner, senior vice president of marketing and passenger experience for Alaska Airlines.
The San Francisco airport lounge offers espresso and craft beer at the bar and wine from the West Coast. The space provides a welcoming environment for travelers and a wide selection of complimentary food and beverage options.
This lounge is the airline’s largest in California, with 55% more seating than the previous Terminal 2 lounge, and features cargo ports at nearly every seat.
Harvey Milk Terminal 1 at San Francisco Airport.
The opening of the Alaska Lounge at San Francisco Airport marks the completion of our two-year, $30 million Harvey Milk Terminal 1 relocation project. It adds to a $3 billion investment to continually improve the infrastructure and passenger experience at one of the airline’s largest West Coast hubs.
Last month, Harvey Milk Terminal 1 officially opened and incorporated SFO’s first automated baggage drop-off technology, streamlining the travel experience and supporting the airline’s long-term goal of reducing congested lanes. This move makes us the largest airline in the terminal and sets us up for long-term growth in San Francisco, serving approximately 5 million passengers a year.
This year the airline introduced the largest summer flight schedule in the company’s history, which includes the most flights of any carrier from San Francisco to some of the largest cities on the West Coast, including eleven daily flights to Seattle-Tacoma, six daily flights to San Diego and seven daily flights to Portland.
