Avianca will offer travelers additional flights on three international routes connecting Colombia with Brazil, Argentina, and Panama. The affected routes are Bogotá-Rio de Janeiro, Bogotá-Buenos Aires, and Bogotá-Panama City. This increase coincides with the end of the mid-year high season.
Route | Weekly Flights in July | Additional Flights | Weekly Flights in August |
---|---|---|---|
Bogotá-Rio de Janeiro | 11 | +3 | 14 |
Bogotá-Buenos Aires | 18 | +7 | 25 |
Bogotá-Panama City | 14 | +3 | 17 |
With this increase, the company will offer its customers over 4,700 additional weekly seats on these routes. «At Avianca, we are committed to Colombia as a hub in Latin America, enabling more people to fly this mid-year season. Therefore, in August, we will have 13 additional frequencies on our routes to Rio, Buenos Aires, and Panama City, providing our customers with greater schedule flexibility and more access to key destinations in our region,» explained David Alemán, Avianca’s Sales Director for Colombia and South America.
The Bogotá-Rio de Janeiro and Bogotá-Panama City routes are operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, while the Bogotá-Buenos Aires connection features combined schedules with Airbus A320 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Currently, the company offers its customers an extensive network with over 150 routes connecting 75 destinations in 25 countries across the Americas and Europe.
