During Prime Day 2024, an event with exclusive offers from Amazon for Prime members, Azul Cargo Express, the logistics unit of Azul, transported more than 600,000 products across Brazil, registering a 115% increase in the number of deliveries compared to the same period last year.
This was the edition with the highest volume of purchases, and the first day of the event (July 16) saw the highest number of customers becoming Prime members since the program’s launch in September 2019 in Brazil, according to our affiliated media Aeroin.
“We are happy to contribute to the delivery of over 600,000 products during Amazon Prime Day, carried out by our air network, which serves more than 5,000 cities and covers 96% of the Brazilian population. Our commitment is to provide efficient and reliable service to all our customers,” emphasized Izabel Reis, director of Azul Cargo Express.
“Our technological logistics network, combined with local partners and thousands of direct and indirect employees in operations across Brazil, allows us to make fast and secure deliveries throughout the country, even during times of high demand. For Prime Day, we added 4,000 temporary employees, who join our teams to handle the increased delivery demand and balance the workload for everyone,” highlighted Marcio Neves, head of Transportation at Amazon Brazil.
With 10 Distribution Centers in Brazil and dozens of delivery stations, Amazon Prime customers receive their orders within one business day in more than 200 cities, and within two days in over 1,300 cities in the country.
