Western Air Begins Non-Stop Flights Between Bahamas and Florida

Western Air is landing in the United States with the start of non-stop flights between Freeport and Fort Lauderdale. This is the airline’s only international service, and it will also provide connections to other destinations in the Bahamas. In this segment, Western Air competes with Silver Airways and Bahamasair.

An Embraer ERJ-145 registered C6-MAM operated flight WU 110, which took off from Grand Bahama International Airport at 09:54 local time on August 22 and landed at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at 10:23, after 29 minutes.

  • Flight WU107: Fort Lauderdale (FLL) 11:00 – Freeport (FPO) 11:30 daily flights.

The route is operated on Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft with a capacity of 50 seats.
