After almost a decade, Malaysia Airlines resumes its flights to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the airline’s second destination in Europe, complementing its two daily flights to London-Heathrow. This route represents the airline’s 68th destination, consolidating its position as a gateway to Asia and beyond
The airline suspended its operations to Paris-Charles de Gaulle on a Boeing 777-200ER in January 2016, a decision that was the result of a financial restructuring. Malaysia Airlines for decades operated in the French capital on Boeing 747 aircraft and in the period from March 2013 to August 2015 it used the Airbus A380. With this new service, the airline will be the only one to offer a non-stop connection between Malaysia and France.
“Our expansion in Europe marks an important milestone for Malaysia Airlines. With the arrival of more wide-body aircraft starting this fourth quarter, we are ready to bring this much-anticipated city back to our network. While the European market is highly competitive, we see huge potential for this route to attract key travelers not only from Malaysia but also from neighbouring regions,” said Datuk Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG).
