PLAY Airlines has scheduled a new seasonal service to Reykjavik and Faro, offering a new alternative to fly between North America and Europe, and customers can take a 10-day stopover to explore at no additional cost before continuing their transatlantic flight.
Play’s North American network services Baltimore, Boston, New York/Newburgh, Washington-Dulles, and Toronto-Hamilton. The low-cost airline began operations in June 2021, currently, its fleet is made up of 10 A320neo family aircraft and in 2023 it achieved an 83% punctuality rate.
Connectivity between North America and Faro is provided by non-stop flights from Montreal by Air Transat and Newark by United, which will start in the summer season of 2025. It can also be connected with a stopover through the hubs of airlines Aer Lingus, Air France, Azores Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, Edelweiss, Finnair, Iberia, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airlines, SWISS and TAP Air Portugal.
Flight schedule between Reykjavik (KEF) and Faro (FAO)
Starts on April 12, 2025.
- Flight OG 454: KEF 15:00 – FAO 20:45 Wednesday and Saturday.
- Flight OG 455: FAO 21:45 – KEF 01:40+1 Wednesday and Saturday.
The route will be operated on Airbus A320neo aircraft with a capacity of 174/180 seats in a single configuration.
