Finnair to increase flights to the United States and Asia for summer 2025

Finnair will add additional flights to four destinations in the United States, two in Japan and one in mainland China for the 2025 summer season. Service to Chicago O’Hare will be operated daily on Airbus A330-300s from 31 March 2025, and the Dallas/Fort Worth route will have eleven weekly flights on Airbus A350-900s from 1 May 2025. In addition, operations to Seattle-Tacoma and Los Angeles will be increased from three to five weekly flights.

Increasing our capacity to the United States offers our customers excellent connectivity to North America and beyond. Customers can connect via Dallas and Chicago to our partner American Airlines’ extensive network in North and South America, while Seattle and Los Angeles offer a gateway to, for example, other parts of the West Coast and Hawaii, via our partners American Airlines and Alaska Airlines,” said Christine Rovelli, Chief Revenue Officer at Finnair.

Finnair is also adding capacity in Japan and Mainland China by next summer. The Osaka-Kansai service from 2 May 2025 will have daily flights on Airbus A350-900s, which will host the 2025 World Expo. The Nagoya route from 7 May 2025 will have a four-times-weekly schedule on Airbus A350-900s. These operations will be complemented by Finnair’s daily flights to Tokyo (Narita and Haneda).

The airline is adding a weekly frequency to Shanghai-Pudong in China for a total of four weekly flights scheduled throughout the 2025 summer season.
