Aerocardal received its first Pilatus PC-24, registration CC-DRS, c/n 538. The twin-engine jet arrived in Santiago, Chile, after departing from the United States, with stops in Nuevo Laredo, Guanacaste, Guayaquil, and Arica Chacalluta International Airport. Interestingly, this aircraft belongs to a private client, and its operation is integrated into Aerocardal’s Air Operator Certificate (AOC).

The Pilatus PC-24, also known as the «Super Versatile Jet», combines the performance of a business jet with the versatility of a turboprop. Designed to operate on short and unpaved runways, the PC-24 is ideal for regions with limited access, making it an excellent option for markets like Chile, where geographical and logistical challenges demand access to remote areas.

Advantages of the Pilatus PC-24 for the Chilean aviation market:
    1. Operational versatility: The PC-24 can land on dirt, gravel, or grass runways, enabling it to reach airstrips and aeroclubs where other aircraft cannot operate. This is particularly useful in Chile, a country with diverse geography including mountains, deserts, and coastal regions.
    2. Passenger and cargo capacity: It offers a flexible configuration that can carry up to 11 passengers or be adapted for cargo, medevac, or combi missions, making it ideal for corporate flights and transport and logistics missions in hard-to-reach areas.
    3. High-altitude performance: Thanks to its design, the PC-24 performs excellently at high-altitude airports, which is beneficial for operations in mountainous regions and the Andes mountain range.
    4. Economy and efficiency: This jet stands out for its lower fuel consumption and operational costs compared to other jets in its segment.

Aerocardal, founded in 1991 and headquartered in Santiago, Chile, specializes in charter flights on private jets and air ambulance operations. It also provides cargo transportation, FBO services, and aircraft maintenance.
