Covering 13,300 kilometers, the new route surpasses the airline’s previous record, which was the Dallas to Hong Kong flight, discontinued due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Aeroin.

    Seasonal flight

The seasonal flights to Brisbane operate daily with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Service began on October 26 and is scheduled to continue until March 2025.

Brisbane Airport CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff emphasized the importance of this new connection as a milestone for Brisbane and Queensland, strengthening potential cooperation between regions in sectors such as agriculture, energy, biotechnology, and advanced manufacturing.

According to Cirium scheduling data for November 2024, among the three major U.S. airlines, American’s Dallas-Fort Worth to Brisbane route ranks as the fourth longest in terms of distance.
