LATAM Airlines Group announced that its new Premium Business cabins are designed with inspiration from the natural beauty of South America. The new cabin will be available on its fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliner starting from the first quarter of 2025.
The cabin features RECARO R7 seats whose design is reminiscent of the sand dunes of Brazil, granite tables inspired by the Andes mountain range, and other elements that reference the natural heritage of the region. LATAM is supported by PriestmanGoode for the development of the new interiors.
LATAM designed the new Premium Business suites to offer privacy and comfort, incorporating individual seats with sliding doors, making it the only airline in South America to offer this product. Each suite converts into a bed, ensuring rest on long-haul flights.
According to our partner site AEROIN, all seats will have direct aisle access, shoe compartments, and ample storage space. Regarding onboard entertainment, each suite will feature an 18-inch HD screen and will include USB-A and USB-C ports for charging devices.
LATAM Group’s Cabin Interior and IFEC Manager, Jaime Cornejo, said, «The new Premium Business design is a celebration of South America and all its landscapes and rich culture. By incorporating these references into our cabins, we offer a superior travel experience that reflects our cultural identity while prioritizing privacy and comfort.»
The first aircraft with the new Premium Business cabin is being modified at the LATAM Maintenance and Repair Center (MRO) in São Carlos. LATAM recently announced an investment of 40 million reais for the construction of a new hangar specialized in maintaining large aircraft.
