Winair announced the reintroduction of its codeshare agreement with KLM. This agreement facilitates connections on KLM flights to routes operated by Winair, including destinations such as St. Barths, Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Tortola.

With this agreement, travelers will have an integrated itinerary, booking flights from both airlines on a single ticket. The benefits include:

Check-in at any KLM or Winair office.
– Direct baggage transfer to the final destination.
– Boarding passes for the entire journey issued in a single operation.

Eastern Caribbean better connected to Europe with Winair and KLM

The partnership strengthens the position of the Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) in St. Maarten as a key hub for travel in the northeastern Caribbean. Furthermore, it promotes tourism and connectivity by enabling travelers from Europe and other regions to access destinations in the Caribbean more easily.

KLM operates flights to the Dutch Antilles with up to three daily flights, divided into St. Maarten (5 weekly flights), Aruba (7 weekly flights), and Curaçao (8 weekly flights). Winair serves 16 destinations in the Eastern Caribbean, operated with five Twin Otters and three ATR 42-500 aircraft.

Hans van de Velde, CEO of Winair, emphasized: “This collaboration with KLM, one of the world’s leading airlines, reflects their trust in Winair’s safety, reliability, and service. We are proud to offer our customers this level of convenience and connectivity.”
