Royal Air Maroc received its tenth Boeing 787 Dreamliner, marking the continuation of its fleet and destination development plan. This aircraft is part of an agreement signed with the Moroccan government in July 2023.
The aircraft, registered as CN-RHA, arrived at Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) on November 24, coming from Boeing’s facilities in Everett (PAE). Upon arrival, it received the traditional water cannon salute from the airport’s fire department.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is three years old and is a not-taken-up (NTU) aircraft originally intended for WestJet. It had remained stored in Everett during this time. This is the first Dreamliner RAM has received since the last one was delivered on May 30, 2019.
Royal Air Maroc is expected to receive one more Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner before the end of the year, marking the start of the next phase of its expansion with the launch of new direct flights to São Paulo (GRU), Toronto (YYZ), and Beijing (PEK).
Currently, Royal Air Maroc operates a fleet of 51 aircraft, consisting of:
- 6 ATR 72-600;
- 28 Boeing 737-800;
- 2 Boeing 737 MAX 8;
- 1 Boeing 767-300;
- 5 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner;
- 5 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner;
- 4 Embraer E190-E1.
