Volotea announced the launch of it’s new route connecting Asturias with Cádiz, with an offer of over 18,000 seats across 118 flights. The service will operate two weekly flights starting from April 11, 2025.
Additionally, the company has scheduled four extra flights for February 27 and March 2, 6, and 9, 2025, in order to meet the demand for the Carnival celebrations in Jerez. The new route will be operated with Airbus A319 and A320.
To appropriately meet the demand for travel during different seasons, Volotea will schedule the new route on Tuesdays and Fridays during winter, and Mondays and Thursdays in summer.
This is the first route from Jerez Airport, connecting Asturias with Andalusia, where Volotea flies to Seville, Granada, and Malaga. With this addition, the airline will offer 19 destinations from Asturias in 2025, with a capacity of 825,000 seats.
Currently, Volotea operates from Asturias International Airport to 11 destinations across Europe: Alicante, Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Granada, Lanzarote, Malaga, Seville, Tenerife South, and Valencia in Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; and Milan, Italy. The airline has a fleet of 44 aircraft, composed of 19 Airbus A319s and 25 Airbus A320s.
