Airbus delivered the first of two A400M military transport aircrafts ordered by the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On December 5, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported that the aircraft with factory number MSN139 was handed over to the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksylykov.
Kazakhstan ordered two A400M multirole transport aircrafts in September 2021, the first of which (the example delivered yesterday) left the Airbus paint shop in April this year.
The contract includes a full suite of maintenance support and training. In conjunction with the agreement, a Memorandum of Understanding has also been signed to collaborate on Maintenance and Overhaul services and a first step in the creation of a local C295 maintenance center.
With the ability to house the country’s military equipment inventory in its cargo hold and carry out military, civil and humanitarian missions, the A400M will enable Kazakhstan to respond quickly to any mission, rapidly deploying game-changing capabilities over long distances and enabling effective access to remote areas.
The Republic of Kazakhstan is the ninth operator of the A400M, along with Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Malaysia and Luxembourg.
