In the context of an end-of-year event held in Bogotá, Avianca’s CEO, Frederico Pedreira, announced that the company will soon launch a new route to the United States.
Pedreira stated that the new route will connect Bogotá with the state of Florida, leading to speculation that it will operate at a fourth airport, as the airline already flies to Orlando (MCO), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), and Miami (MIA).
The operation will likely be carried out with the airline’s Airbus A320 fleet, as is the case with its other flights to Florida.
Developing story.
