GOL Flight G3-1344 Reports Abnormal Runway Contact During Landing

The Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA) received a report about an incident involving a GOL Linhas Aéreas aircraft that performed an abnormal landing during a regular flight.

The incident involved a Boeing 737-800, registered under the tail number PR-GUI, which was operating flight G3-1344, transporting passengers between Congonhas Airport, in São Paulo, and Hugo Cantergiani Airport, in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, last Tuesday (17), reported Aeroin.

According to information from CENIPA and additional data from AirNav, the aircraft departed from the São Paulo capital at 12:26 a.m. (local time) and traveled without incidents until landing, when it had a hard contact with the runway surface.

CENIPA classified the event as an “ABNORMAL CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY” incident, with no damage to third parties. Despite the impact, the aircraft continued taxiing to the parking area on its own, with no further issues reported.

Data from AirNav indicates that the aircraft remained on the ground for approximately two hours before taking off again to São Paulo, completing the trip without major complications.
