JetSMART continues its expansion in the country with the arrival of its 12th aircraft, an Airbus A320neo (short for New Engine Option), which will join the fleet at the end of January 2025. This addition marks an important milestone for the airline and the industry in Argentina, as it is the first Airbus A320neo to join a local fleet.

It is expected that, just like the three previously incorporated Airbus A320ceo (Current Engine Option) through the Interchange modality, the crew operating this A320neo will be entirely Argentine. This model, recognized for its operational efficiency and cutting-edge technology, stands out for its low fuel consumption, reduced emissions, and lower noise levels, contributing to a more sustainable operation.

The addition of this aircraft is part of JetSMART’s growth strategy in Argentina. «We are very proud to incorporate our 12th aircraft in Argentina and to welcome the first Airbus A320neo to our local fleet. It is another important step in our growth plan in Argentina and the region as we aim to meet our goals by the end of the decade,» said Estuardo Ortiz, CEO of JetSMART Airlines.

Ortiz emphasized that the new aircraft will allow the airline to increase its operational capacity, adding 222 additional flights starting in February 2025. “This new aircraft not only reflects our commitment to an efficient and sustainable operation, but it will also allow us to significantly expand our seat offering in 2025, starting with the Argentine summer, providing more options for passengers and contributing to the development of air transport in the country,» the CEO added.

Thanks to the addition of this Airbus A320neo, JetSMART will increase its flight frequencies, both domestic and international:

Gonzalo Pérez Corral, Country Manager of JetSMART in Argentina, stated that the airline focuses on offering affordable fares without compromising service quality. “Our way of working, focused on operational efficiency, allows us to offer affordable prices and reliable flights that currently report high punctuality and low cancellation levels, with indicators above the local industry average,” he explained.
