The Airports Council International (ACI) has awarded 13 prizes across various categories to nine Aena-managed airports in Spain, the company announced on Friday.
Spain’s Top-Ranked Airports
Several airports received the "Best European Airport" award in their respective passenger categories:
- Palma de Mallorca (25 to 40 million passengers)
- Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández (15 to 25 million passengers)
- Seville (5 to 15 million passengers)
- Girona-Costa Brava, El Hierro, Pamplona, Reus, and Zaragoza (under 2 million passengers)
Additionally, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport was recognized as "Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff in Europe."
Recognition for Passenger Experience
- El Hierro and Pamplona were awarded "Cleanest Airport in Europe."
- Reus and El Hierro were named "Easiest Airport Journey in Europe."

The awards are part of ACI’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program, which evaluates and compares passenger perceptions in key service areas, including:

Global Recognition Ceremony
Founded in 1991, ACI represents 830 members managing 2,181 airports in 170 countries. The official awards ceremony will take place at the ACI World Customer Experience Summit and Exhibition, scheduled for September 8-11, 2025, in Guangzhou, China.
