Mexican airline Aeromar and Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) have renewed their interline agreement. Both companies will continue to allow their customers to book combined travel itineraries on a single ticket, with the same fare conditions and baggage policy.

This type of commercial arrangement between two airlines allows one company to market segments operated by the other one, while retaining its own flight number but identifying the operator of the flight. This allows companies to expand their network of available destinations and offer greater flexibility to their customers.

Currently, the Japanese carrier operates daily flights between Tokyo’s Narita International Airport (NRT) and Mexico City’s Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX) with Boeing 787-8 aircraft.

Passengers starting their journey in Japan’s capital city can then continue on to Aeromar’s domestic network destinations from Mexico City: Acapulco (ACA), Aguascalientes (AGU), Colima (CLQ), Ciudad Victoria (CVM), Ixtepec (IZT), Piedras Negras (PDS), Puerto Escondido (PXM), Tepic (TPQ) and Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo (ZIH). In addition, they can travel to the three international destinations available from there: Laredo (LRD) and McAllen (MFE) in Texas, United States, and Havana (HAV), Cuba.

«Aeromar is proud to endorse its interline partnership with All Nippon Airways, Japan’s leading airline recognised for its service excellence», said Juan Ignacio Rossello, Aeromar’s CCO. «The preferential connectivity agreement reaffirms our high quality standards and strengthens our portfolio of interline agreements with world-class airlines», he added.
