Aeroregional has inaugurated its new route between Quito (UIO), Ecuador, and Lima (LIM), Peru. Additionally, the airline is relaunching flights to Punta Cana (PUJ), Dominican Republic, through a partnership with Maxi Travel.
The new Peru route will operate three times per week using Boeing 737-400 and Boeing 737-500 aircraft, offering between 774 and 870 seats per week.
- Flight 7A 991: UIO 21:00 - 23:00 LIM / Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
- Flight 7A 990: LIM 06:00 - 08:00 UIO / Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
With this addition, there will once again be a third competitor on this South American capital-to-capital route, which is also served by LATAM (19 weekly flights) and JetSMART (3 weekly flights). The last time three airlines operated on this route was in 2018, when TAME was present.
Punta Cana Service Resumes
Aeroregional is also resuming flights to Punta Cana, following Avianca’s exit from the market. The airline will compete directly with Arajet (2 weekly flights).
- Flight 7A 9411: UIO 10:00 - 13:30 PUJ / Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
- Flight 7A 9410: PUJ 15:00 - 18:30 UIO / Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
Passengers will be able to connect these destinations with Aeroregional’s network, which now includes four domestic routes and three international routes.
Aeroregional Today
The Ecuadorian airline continues to operate regular domestic and international flights with a fleet of two Boeing 737-500 and three Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
From Quito (UIO):
- Coca (OCC): 6 weekly flights.
- Esmeraldas (ESM): 2 weekly flights.
- Lima (LIM), Peru: 3 weekly flights.
- Loja (LOH): 16 weekly flights.
- Panama/Balboa (BLB): 3 weekly flights.
- Punta Cana (PUJ), Dominican Republic: 3 weekly flights.
- Santa Rosa (ETR): 7 weekly flights.

Aeroregional has an agreement with Euroairlines to sell tickets for certain destinations, such as Panama and domestic routes. Additionally, in collaboration with travel agencies, the airline offers tour packages to Peru and the Dominican Republic.
Furthermore, Aeroregional operates charter flights for Ecuadorian football teams, facilitating travel for tournaments like the Copa Libertadores, Recopa Sudamericana, and Copa Sudamericana.
