An unusual movement will be observed this week at Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas (SP), when a cargo flight of Air Canada arrives at this terminal in the interior of São Paulo.
According to reports from our partner media in Brazil, AEROIN, it will be the first time an aircraft of this company operates in Campinas. The cargo division of Air Canada Cargo resumed operations with its own aircraft in late 2021, after several years of exclusively utilizing the belly holds of passenger flights. The Boeing 767-300 aircraft, converted from passenger to cargo transport, allow the airline to operate with greater flexibility. Until now, these flights have only arrived at São José dos Campos (SP), primarily to meet the logistical demand of Embraer. On this occasion, Air Canada Cargo will perform an operation with an international itinerary: Miami → Campinas → Santiago de Chile → Miami. According to the schedule, the freighter will arrive at Viracopos this Thursday, December 12, at 11:10 a.m. and will depart at 7:15 a.m. on Friday, December 13. The times are subject to confirmation and can be tracked live through the channel Golf Oscar Romeo. The aircraft will transport varied cargo from different industrial sectors and, before departing, will load goods in Campinas destined for its next stops.
