Air Canada has announced the launch of a new seasonal service between Montreal and Edinburgh, alongside frequency increases to several European destinations for the upcoming summer season. The new route from Montreal will complement the airline’s existing summer flights from Toronto to the Scottish capital.
The carrier will also add nearly 1,300 extra weekly seats on its routes to Paris and Athens, while extending its enhanced schedule between Toronto and Rome through October.
The new Montreal–Edinburgh service will be the only direct flight connecting the two cities. Operated three times a week from June 26 to September 6, 2025, the route will utilize Boeing 737 MAX aircraft featuring both Economy and Premium Economy cabins.
Montreal–Edinburgh route details:
- Flight AC936: Montreal (YUL) – Edinburgh (EDI), departs 9:50 p.m., arrives 9:20 a.m. (+1 day) — operates Monday, Thursday, Saturday
- Flight AC937: Edinburgh (EDI) – Montreal (YUL), departs 11:10 a.m., arrives 1:30 p.m. — operates Tuesday, Friday, Sunday
Operation dates: June 26 – September 7, 2025
Expanded service to Europe:
Canada–Paris
- Three additional flights from Toronto on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
- Up to 10 weekly flights from Toronto and 14 from Montreal
Canada–Athens
- Two new flights from Toronto on Tuesdays and Fridays
- Service extended through October
- Up to 10 weekly flights from both Toronto and Montreal
Canada–Rome
- Up to four extra flights per week from Toronto
- Frequency extended through October
- Up to 12 weekly flights from Toronto and 9 from Montreal
