Air Canada to Resume Flights to Tel Aviv Following Ceasefire Agreement
Air Canada resumes its flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, from Toronto and Montreal using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.
Following the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, Air Canada will become the third North American airline to resume operations to Tel Aviv. Starting in June, the airline will restart its regular service from Toronto-Pearson with four weekly flights, while in August, it will resume its seasonal service from Montreal-Trudeau with one weekly flight.
Air Canada suspended its operations in Israel in October 2023 due to the conflict but briefly resumed flights before Iran's attack in April 2024. The airline later extended the suspension multiple times before officially announcing its return.
North American Airlines Returning to Tel Aviv
Air Canada joins United Airlines, which will resume service from Newark on March 15, and Delta Air Lines, which will restart flights from New York-JFK on April 1.
With this move, Air Canada will be the only airline operating between Canada and Israel, following EL AL’s withdrawal from the market in 2022.
