A recent update to the airline’s reservation system confirms that Air Europa will increase its weekly flights between Madrid (MAD) and Córdoba (COR), Argentina, from three to four starting June 24, 2025.
The airline will offer 2,664 seats per week on this route, marking a 33% increase in capacity. In 2024, this connection transported 89,359 passengers, with an average occupancy rate of 90%, according to AENA.
- Flight UX 121: MAD 23:45 - 07:20 (+1) COR / Operates on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
- Flight UX 122: COR 12:05 - 05:10 (+1) MAD / Operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
This remains the only nonstop flight between Europe and Argentina’s interior. Additionally, Air Europa’s codeshare agreement with Aerolíneas Argentinas provides access to other domestic destinations, including Mendoza, Salta, Tucumán, Neuquén, and Bariloche.
This expansion aligns with Air Europa’s increased frequencies to Asunción (ASU), Paraguay; Medellín/Rionegro (MDE), Colombia; Panama City (PTY); and New York (JFK), USA.
Additionally, the airline will separate its flights to Quito (UIO) and Guayaquil (GYE), Ecuador, which are currently operated as a triangular route. Beginning in June 2024, both cities will have independent direct flights.
This expansion is supported by the addition of new Boeing 787-9 aircraft to Air Europa’s fleet. In 2024, the airline incorporated three aircraft, with three more expected in the coming months.
Currently, Air Europa operates 11 Boeing 787-8s (three of which are under wet lease from Norse Atlantic Airways) and 15 Boeing 787-9s.
