Air France-KLM and CemAir have formalized an interline agreement that will enhance air connections within South Africa, making it easier for passengers to link international flights with regional routes.
Leveraging their key hubs in Johannesburg and Cape Town, the partnership will allow travelers to book combined itineraries on a single ticket, optimizing connection times and ensuring a seamless travel experience.
Wilson Tauro, Air France-KLM’s General Manager for Southern Africa, highlighted that the collaboration strengthens the airline’s ability to serve South African passengers.
"By utilizing our entry airports, we now offer a broader network of destinations, improving the travel experience for both business and leisure passengers," he said.
Meanwhile, Miles van der Molen, CEO of CemAir, emphasized that the partnership with Air France-KLM represents an opportunity to enhance connectivity for travelers within the country and to international destinations.
"Partnerships are a key part of our strategy, and working with leading airlines allows us to continue providing efficient and accessible service," he stated.
This agreement aligns with Air France-KLM’s strategy to strengthen regional connectivity and expand travel options across Southern Africa. Tickets are already available through the usual sales channels of both airlines and travel agencies.
