Air France to Launch Fortaleza-Cayenne Flights, Complementing Paris Service
Air France will launch a new and unprecedented route connecting Fortaleza (FOR) with Cayenne (CAY), starting April 22, 2025. The weekly service, operated by an Airbus A320, will not only reconnect Ceará with French Guiana but also provide connections to the French Caribbean, further consolidating the airline's growth in Brazil
In a new update to the reservation system, it has been observed that Air France will connect Fortaleza (FOR) with Cayenne (CAY), in French Guiana, a French Overseas Territory.
This new and unprecedented route will begin on April 22, 2025, with a weekly flight operated by an Airbus A320. It will complement its connection between Fortaleza and Paris/Charles de Gaulle (CDG), which operates three times per week with Airbus A350 and Boeing 777.
- Flight AF 608: CAY 13:05 - 16:00 FOR / Tuesday.
- Flight AF 609: FOR 15:00 - 17:50 CAY / Wednesday.
Moreover, in addition to linking Fortaleza with French Guiana, this new route will allow passengers from Ceará to connect with the French Caribbean (Guadeloupe and Martinique) through Air France and Sky High Dominica.
This connection marks the return of flights between Cayenne and Fortaleza, as Azul offered weekly flights on this route between August 2016 and March 2020. According to data from ANAC Brasil, in 2019, the route carried 8,695 passengers with an average load factor of 71%.
