Air India and Kenya Airways Sign Codeshare Agreement
The codeshare partnership between Air India and Kenya Airways complements their existing interline agreement.
Air India, India’s flagship global airline, and Kenya Airways, a leading African carrier, have signed a codeshare agreement, reinforcing their commitment to seamless travel between India and Africa.
This codeshare partnership complements the existing interline agreement between the two airlines, allowing passengers to book a single ticket with a unified baggage policy, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience across multiple destinations.
Expanded Network and Seamless Connections
As part of the agreement:
- Air India will place its "AI" flight code on Kenya Airways’ daily flights between Nairobi and Mumbai. Passengers can connect via Mumbai to Bangkok (Thailand), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Malé (Maldives), Melbourne (Australia), and Singapore on Air India-operated flights.
- Kenya Airways will place its "KQ" flight code on Air India’s flights between Delhi and Nairobi, allowing passengers from across Africa to connect seamlessly to Delhi via Nairobi.
These new connections complement existing Air India services from Nairobi to Delhi, providing further access to key Indian and international destinations.
Enhanced Access to India and Africa
Through the Air India–Kenya Airways interline agreement, passengers can travel seamlessly between:
- 28 African destinations, including Accra, Addis Ababa, Dar es Salaam, Harare, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Victoria Falls, Seychelles, Kilimanjaro, Mombasa, and Zanzibar.
