Air Transat Unveils Summer 2025 Canada-Italy Flight Schedule
Air Transat is expanding its Canada-Italy connectivity with up to 19 weekly flights, strengthening its presence in Southern Europe with new routes and increased frequencies.
Air Transat has unveiled its summer 2025 flight schedule, solidifying its position as the second-largest airline in the Canada-Italy market in terms of seat capacity. The Canadian carrier will operate up to 19 weekly flights between the two countries.
Direct Flights from Canada to Italy
Air Transat will connect Toronto and Montreal with three Italian airports: Rome Fiumicino, Venice Marco Polo, and Lamezia Terme.
- Montreal – Rome Fiumicino: Starts April 19, with daily flights from June 15.
- Toronto – Rome Fiumicino: Begins May 2, with daily service from June 9.
- Toronto – Venice: Available from May 3, with two weekly flights.
- Montreal – Venice: Starts May 5, with two weekly frequencies.
- Toronto – Lamezia Terme: Launches June 12. Air Transat is the only airline offering transatlantic flights to this destination.
Strengthening Its Italian Market Presence
Tiziana Della Serra, Sales & Marketing Director at Rephouse GSA in Italy, highlighted Air Transat’s 37-year presence in Italy and its strong partnerships within the industry. She also noted that the airline offers connecting flights from Rome Fiumicino to Lima via Toronto and Montreal.
"With Air Transat, you can fly directly from three Italian airports—Rome Fiumicino, Venice Marco Polo, and Lamezia Terme—to Toronto and Montreal. The airline has maintained a strong presence in Italy for 37 years, fostering strong ties with trade and industry partners. In addition to direct flights, Air Transat provides seamless connections to Lima via Toronto and Montreal from Rome Fiumicino," she stated.
Fleet and Cabin Configuration
Flights between Canada and Italy will be operated using Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 aircraft, featuring a two-class configuration:
- Club Class: 12 seats
- Economy Class: 330, 346, or 363 seats, depending on the aircraft model
