«Vilnius is one of airBaltic’s home cities, and we are committed to further improving connectivity to and from the city. The new routes will offer passengers more variety in their leisure and business travel. We thank Lithuanian Airports and our local partners for their cooperation over the years, supporting airBaltic’s expansion in Lithuania,» said Mantas Vrubliauskas, airBaltic’s Vice President of Network Development.

«We are successfully continuing our proven track record of route development with the expansion of our risk-sharing model. Together with our partners, we are investing in high-quality air connectivity between Lithuania and major European aviation hubs. Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is a particularly important link for intercontinental travel. In addition, Hamburg, a leading German city and port, presents significant business opportunities, facilitating the opening of new routes to destinations around the world,» said Simonas Bartkus, CEO of Lithuanian Airports.

    New airBaltic routes

    • Vilnius – Hamburg: starts May 2 with twice-weekly flights.
    • Vilnius – Lisbon: starts May 4 with two weekly flights.

Both routes will be operated on Airbus A220-300 aircraft providing customers with a wider seat, more hand luggage space, improved lavatories, and better overall performance.

In the upcoming summer season, airBaltic plans to add four new routes from Lithuania: three from Vilnius to Krakow, Hamburg, and Lisbon, and one from Palanga to Amsterdam. By 2024, the airline will have a schedule to 18 destinations in Lithuania and will maintain two aircraft based in Vilnius.
