Airbus Delivers 25 Aircraft in January, Records 55 New Orders
Lufthansa, Starlux, and several undisclosed customers were among the buyers of new Airbus aircraft in January. The manufacturer surpassed 20,000 single-aisle aircraft deliveries in its history.
Airbus started 2025 by delivering 25 aircraft to 17 customers worldwide and securing 55 gross orders in January. However, for the first time in a while, the European manufacturer lagged behind Boeing, which delivered 44 aircraft to customers during the same period.
Single-Aisle and Widebody Deliveries
The Toulouse-based manufacturer delivered 23 single-aisle aircraft, including:
- 11 A321neo
- 7 A320neo
- 2 A319neo
- 3 A220-300
These aircraft were handed over to airlines such as easyJet, United Airlines, Wizz Air, and Delta Air Lines. With these deliveries, Airbus surpassed the milestone of 20,000 single-aisle aircraft delivered.
In the widebody category, Airbus delivered:
- One A350-900 to Emirates
- One A350-1000 to Japan Airlines
Key Orders in January

Among the new orders recorded in January, notable deals include:
- 5 Airbus A350F for Starlux
- 25 A320neo (undisclosed customer)
- 1 A321neo (undisclosed customer)
- 3 A350F (undisclosed customer)
- 6 A350-900 (undisclosed customers)
- 5 A350-1000 for Lufthansa
Additionally, Airbus secured orders for 10 A330-900 and 6 A350-900 from undisclosed customers, along with three more A350F freighters for another unidentified buyer.
In total, widebody orders accounted for 29 of the 55 new aircraft orders in January. With these new commitments, firm orders for the A350F now stand at 63 units, while passenger versions of the A350 have reached 995 orders for the A350-900 and 305 for the A350-1000.
