Dominican airline Arajet continues its expansion into the United States, launching ticket sales for a new route connecting Punta Cana (PUJ) to Miami (MIA) starting June 13, 2025. The route will operate four times per week using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
With this addition, Arajet strengthens its hub model in the Dominican Republic, enabling connections across North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America. Operating from its bases in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana, the airline currently offers 28 routes to 21 international destinations, further solidifying its presence in the region.

This new route, confirmed to Aviacionline, complements Arajet’s U.S. debut, set for April 11, 2025, with the Santo Domingo (SDQ) – Miami (MIA) route, which will also feature four weekly frequencies.

Expansion Amid Aircraft Delivery Delays
Despite supply chain challenges at Boeing, Arajet remains committed to its growth strategy. The airline currently operates 10 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and had anticipated receiving five additional units in 2025. However, only three aircraft will be delivered in March, June, and August, prompting adjustments to its expansion plans.
