According to the International Tourism Survey (ETI) published by INDEC, Argentina received 186.8 thousand non-resident tourists by air in February 2025, marking a 25.2% year-on-year decline. Of these arrivals, 88.1% were concentrated at Ezeiza International Airport and Jorge Newbery Airport (Aeroparque).
In contrast, 504.2 thousand resident tourists departed the country by air, a 55.1% year-on-year increase, continuing the recovery of outbound tourism that began in 2024. Departures from Ezeiza and Aeroparque accounted for 85.4% of the total.
The net balance of international tourists by air was negative, with 317.3 thousand more outbound than inbound travelers.

The report also notes that, at Ezeiza and Aeroparque, there were 164.5 thousand inbound non-resident tourists (a 27.3% drop) and 430.7 thousand outbound resident tourists (a 51.0% increase).
The average stay for non-resident tourists was 16.3 nights, while outbound residents averaged 14.4 nights. At Mendoza Airport, there were 11.3 thousand inbound non-resident tourists (-18%) and 17 thousand outbound residents (+108.8%). Córdoba recorded 5.2 thousand inbound tourists (-9%) and 34.1 thousand outbound tourists (+57%). The rest of the airports accounted for 5.8 thousand inbound tourists (+46.4%) and 22.4 thousand outbound tourists (+125.4%).
In seasonally adjusted terms, the number of non-resident tourist arrivals fell by 10.9% compared to January, while resident tourist departures by air rose by 4.3%.
Europe was the top source region for inbound tourism, with 53.4 thousand arrivals, followed by the United States and Canada, with 30.2 thousand. For outbound tourism, Brazil led with 178 thousand Argentine tourists, followed by the Rest of the Americas bloc with 84.3 thousand.
Taking all modes of transport into account, Argentina recorded 494.4 thousand non-resident tourists (-30.7%) and 1.82 million outbound tourists (+90.7%) in February 2025.
