Avelo Airlines has inaugurated its new nonstop service between New Haven (HVN) and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), marking its second destination in Texas, alongside Houston-Hobby.
The inaugural flight, XP 330, was operated by a Boeing 737-800 registered as N808VL. It departed Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport at 3:09 PM local time on March 7 and landed at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport at 6:13 PM, completing the journey in four hours and four minutes.
A launch ceremony for the new route was held at Gate 3 of Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport, attended by representatives from the airline and airport. The low-cost carrier will operate the route twice weekly using Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft. Avelo is currently the only airline offering direct service between these two cities.
Fares start at $84, and tickets are available for booking through Avelo’s regular sales channels.
