Avianca has announced the appointment of Otto Gergye as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), aiming to strengthen its commercial strategy.
Gergye brings over 20 years of experience in the aviation and tourism industries, specializing in strategic planning, commercial development, sales, and revenue optimization across multiple sector-leading companies.
Extensive Industry Experience
Throughout his career, Gergye has held key leadership positions at several international airlines, including:
- Chief Revenue Officer at Thai Airways
- Vice President of Consulting Services at Sabre
- Commercial Sales Manager for Qantas in Asia
He has also served in commercial roles at Fiji Airways, Air Berlin, British Airways, Amadeus, and KLM.
