Avianca will increase its flights between Bogotá and Buenos Aires starting April 1, 2025. The airline will expand from 17 to 20 weekly flights, combining operations at Aeroparque and Ezeiza airports.
The new frequencies will be operated by Avianca Ecuador. The route will start in Guayaquil (GYE), make a stop in Bogotá (BOG), and then continue to Buenos Aires/Ezeiza (EZE). The return flight will go back to Bogotá before ending in Quito (UIO).
Avianca will use Airbus A320neo aircraft, configured with 180 seats, adding a total of 1,080 weekly seats to Buenos Aires.
Flight Schedule:
- Flight AV 8395: GYE 03:35 – 05:25 BOG / Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays.
- Flight AV 8395: BOG 06:59 – 15:20 EZE / Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays.
- Flight AV 8396: EZE 16:45 – 21:24 BOG / Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays.
- Flight AV 8396: BOG 22:59 – 00:34 (+1) UIO / Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays.

Current and Future Operations
Avianca currently operates 14 weekly flights between Bogotá and Buenos Aires (two daily flights) from Ezeiza (EZE) using Airbus A320neo and Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Since December 2024, the airline has also offered three weekly flights from Aeroparque with A320neo planes.
Starting in April 2025, the total capacity between Bogotá and Buenos Aires will increase to 8,754 seats per week. According to Argentina’s National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC), a total of 430,941 passengers traveled on this route in 2024, with an 88% average occupancy rate.
Expanded Buenos Aires Operations
With these new frequencies, Avianca will reach 35 weekly flights to Buenos Aires, serving the following destinations:
- Medellín/Rionegro (MDE) – 7 weekly flights.
- Quito (UIO) – 2 weekly flights.
- Quito – San José (SJO), Costa Rica – 2 weekly flights.
- Guayaquil (GYE) – 2 weekly flights.
- Guayaquil – San José (SJO), Costa Rica – 2 weekly flights.
Future Expansion to Córdoba, Mendoza, and Rosario
Avianca also plans to expand to Córdoba (COR), Mendoza (MDZ), and Rosario (ROS) after receiving approval from Colombia’s Civil Aviation Authority.
Argentina’s Secretary of Transportation, Franco Mogetta, announced that Córdoba will be the first destination, with an inaugural flight scheduled for June 19. This operation will run until October 25, aligning with the South American winter high season.
