Azul Cargo Express Launches Operations with Airbus A321P2F, Marking a Milestone for the Airline
Azul Cargo Express has announced the launch of its first flights using Airbus A321P2F aircraft, marking the debut of this model in the company’s fleet.
The two A321P2F aircraft were converted from passenger planes into freighters, offering a capacity of 27 tons across 14 pallet positions. This represents a 14% increase in weight capacity and a 20% boost in volume compared to the airline’s current Boeing 737-400F fleet, according to industry source Aeroin.
The conversion was carried out by Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW), Airbus’s partner in passenger-to-freighter aircraft transformations. The model has received Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).
