Azul Expands Winter Flights to Bariloche with New Routes from Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre
Azul Linhas Aéreas has announced the resumption of flights to San Carlos de Bariloche (BRC), Argentina, for the winter season, introducing new routes from Belo Horizonte/Confins (CNF) and Porto Alegre (POA) in addition to Campinas (VCP).
Bariloche remains a top winter destination for Brazilian travelers, and Azul reported a 90% occupancy rate in 2024, when it exclusively operated flights from Campinas.
"Last year, our Bariloche operation was a success, with an occupancy rate exceeding 90%. This year, we are returning with more flights, adding routes from Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre," said Vitor Silva, Azul’s General Manager of Networks, Strategic Planning, and Alliances.
Expanded Flight Offerings for Winter 2025
According to the airline, flights will operate between June and August, offering over 14,000 seats across 144 flights, all served by Airbus A320neo aircraft, configured for 168 passengers.
Additionally, Argentine travelers from the provinces of Neuquén and Río Negro will also benefit from these flights to Brazil.

Campinas (VCP) – June 23 to August 24 (5 weekly flights)
- Flight AD 8744: VCP 10:15 – 14:50 BRC / Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
- Flight AD 8745: BRC 15:50 – 19:50 VCP / Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Belo Horizonte (CNF) – June 25 to August 20 (2 weekly flights)
- Flight AD 8746: CNF 09:35 – 14:50 BRC / Wednesday, Sunday
- Flight AD 8747: BRC 15:50 – 20:15 CNF / Wednesday, Sunday
Porto Alegre (POA) – June 19 to August 21 (1 weekly flight)
- Flight AD 8742: POA 12:25 – 16:00 BRC / Thursday
- Flight AD 8743: BRC 17:00 – 20:15 POA / Thursday
Azul Strengthens Its Presence in the Brazil-Bariloche Market
With this expansion, Azul becomes the fourth airline operating flights between Brazil and Bariloche, joining Aerolíneas Argentinas, GOL, and LATAM, which currently connect the Patagonian city with São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU).
