Azul Resumes Nonstop Flights Between Belo Horizonte and Fort Lauderdale Starting July 2025
Azul Linhas Aéreas will resume its nonstop service between Belo Horizonte and Fort Lauderdale starting July 2, 2025, after previously operating the route with a stop in Curaçao. The relaunch comes in response to strong demand for travel during Brazil’s July vacation season.
The Brazilian carrier plans to operate 158 flights between July and December, with three weekly frequencies on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Departures from Belo Horizonte International Airport are scheduled for 12:00 PM, arriving in Fort Lauderdale at 7:20 PM.
On the return leg, flights will also run on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, departing South Florida at 9:40 PM and landing in Minas Gerais at 6:50 AM the next morning.
“Flights between Belo Horizonte and Fort Lauderdale reinforce Azul’s commitment to offering an air network that meets customer demand, especially during U.S. vacation and summer periods, when leisure travel is high,” said Beatriz Barbi, Azul’s Network Planning Manager. “It also reaffirms the importance of our hub in Confins, which remains strategic for Azul’s domestic and international operations.”
The route’s return is a key strategic move for Azul as it seeks to expand operations and offer more travel options for its customers. The Fort Lauderdale connection gives travelers from Minas Gerais access to one of Florida’s most popular destinations and facilitates onward connections across the U.S. and other international destinations.

- Belém: three times weekly on Airbus A320
- Belo Horizonte: three times weekly on Airbus A330-900neo
- Curaçao: twice weekly on Airbus A320
- Manaus: once weekly on Airbus A320
- São Paulo/Viracopos: ten times weekly on Airbus A330-200 and A330-900neo
From Orlando:
- Belo Horizonte: twice weekly on Airbus A330-900neo
- Recife: twice weekly on Airbus A330-200
- São Paulo/Viracopos: daily on Airbus A330-200/-900neo
