Azul resumes Porto Alegre–Recife route with two daily flights starting April
Azul Linhas Aéreas relaunches the route between Porto Alegre and Recife, adding two daily flights starting April 7. With this connection, Recife Airport is now linked to 17 Brazilian capitals, reinforcing Azul's extensive network across the country
Azul Linhas Aéreas will launch ticket sales for the resumption of the route between Salgado Filho Airport, in Porto Alegre (POA), and Recife Airport (REC). The return of this connection is scheduled for April 7, with two daily flights.
Azul's General Director of Network, Strategic Planning, and Alliances, Vitor Silva, stated, “Since the reopening of the airport in October 2024, we have focused on expanding the air network of Porto Alegre and Rio Grande do Sul, offering connections across the country. From Recife, customers will be able to connect to 36 other destinations, 19 of them in the Northeast, which will significantly facilitate travel to the capitals of the Northeast.”
With this relaunch, Azul expands its offer to eleven destinations from Porto Alegre to cities such as Sao Paulo/Congonhas, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Galeão, Sao Paulo/Guarulhos, and Campinas. Additionally, the airline offers services from Salgado Filho International Airport to destinations within the state, such as Santa Maria, Santo Ângelo, Pelotas, and Uruguaiana.
As reported by our associated media outlet in Brazil, AEROIN, with the addition of another Brazilian capital to its network, Recife Airport is now connected to 17 Brazilian capitals, establishing a robust network that links the capital of Pernambuco to the main cities in all regions of the country.
