Azul strengthened its partnership with JetBlue and began integrating other destinations operated by the U.S. company into its sales system. With this addition, Azul will allow customers departing from Brazil to quickly connect at Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) with JetBlue flights.

According to our Brazilian media partner AeroIn, through the partnership between the two companies Azul offers flights to Cancun (Mexico), San Juan (Puerto Rico), Port-au-Prince (Haiti), Aruba and since the beginning of this month, Punta Cana (Dominican Republic).

«Azul passengers who wish to travel to the Caribbean, enjoying all the Azul experience they already know on our domestic and international flights, and with a quick connection in Fort Lauderdale, have the option of making the purchase to their final destination on our channels,» highlights André Mercadante, Azul’s Director of Planning, Revenue Management and Alliances.

The partnership between Azul and JetBlue was born in 2016, as part of an expansion in the U.S. market by the Brazilian company, and currently markets more than 20 destinations from Fort Lauderdale (FLL).

Azul operates in Fort Lauderdale (FLL) with two daily flights from São Paulo/Viracopos (VCP) on A330-200 and A330-900 aircraft. In the first eight months of 2022, the company transported 119,451 passengers between Viracopos and Fort Lauderdale. Starting in December, it will add a direct connection from Manaus (MAO) and another from Belém (BEL) with three and four weekly flights respectively, operated by A320neo aircraft with capacity for 174 passengers.

It also operates to Orlando (MCO) from São Paulo/Viracopos (VCP) with one daily flight (double daily since December) on A330-200, A330-900 and soon on Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

The Brazilian carrier offers a total of 70,000 to 85,000 seats per month, making it the third airline with the largest seat offer between Brazil and the United States, according to the Cirium platform.
