Casablanca to Beijing: Royal Air Maroc strengthens global connectivity
The reactivation of this route also aligns with Royal Air Maroc’s strategy to position Casablanca as a major hub for connecting Africa to the world.
Royal Air Maroc has resumed direct flights to China with the launch of a new non-stop connection between Casablanca and Beijing-Daxing International Airport. This route, operated three times weekly, is now the longest flight in the Moroccan airline's network.
Flight AT 230, operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner registered as CN-RGY, departed from Mohammed V International Airport at 16:41 local time, landing in Beijing-Daxing the following day at 11:35. The aircraft covered more than 10,000 kilometers in a flight lasting 11 hours and 54 minutes. To celebrate the inaugural flight, cultural events were held, inspired by the traditions of Morocco and China.

The service between Casablanca and Beijing was suspended in January 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its reactivation supports Morocco’s efforts to boost tourism and economic development, with 80% of passengers on this route expected to be foreign tourists. Additionally, this operation strengthens the commercial ties between the two nations.
With the inclusion of Beijing-Daxing, Royal Air Maroc adds another long-haul destination to its network, which already includes Toronto-Pearson and São Paulo-Guarulhos, further consolidating its international connectivity.
Casablanca-Beijing flight schedules
• Flight AT 230: Casablanca (CMN) 16:20 - Beijing-Daxing (PKX) 11:55+1 (Monday, Thursday, and Saturday).
• Flight AT 231: Beijing-Daxing (PKX) 13:55 - Casablanca (CMN) 21:20 (Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday).
This new connection reinforces Royal Air Maroc’s strategic expansion in Asia, positioning it as a key player in facilitating trade and tourism between Africa, Asia, and beyond.
