Delta Air Lines is expanding its transatlantic network for the 2024 summer season with the addition of new service in Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Ireland. After a record summer in the European market, the airline is preparing to expand its operations in its main hubs on the U.S. East Coast.

New York (JFK)
Delta is the leading carrier serving Europe, Africa and the Middle East from its hub at John F. Kennedy Airport and will operate approximately 260 weekly flights next summer to 18 countries and 29 destinations throughout the region.
For the first time, Delta will fly between New York and Naples beginning May 23, 2024, this new destination will complement the airline’s existing services in Italy to Milan-Malpensa, Rome-Fiumicino and Venice.
Delta continues to expand its Ireland operation with the return of the New York-Shannon route beginning May 23, 2024. The last operation of this service was in the 2019 summer season. In addition, the airline offers four other routes from Dublin, including the new connection between the Irish capital and Minneapolis-Saint Paul.
Complementing services to Ireland and Italy, the carrier is expanding its presence in the Bavarian capital with nonstop service between New York and Munich, which will operate three times weekly beginning April 9, 2024. In addition, Delta is the only airline to provide a morning departure from John F. Kennedy Airport to Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Atlanta (ATL)
Delta resumes nonstop service between Atlanta and Zurich with four weekly flights beginning May 31, 2024, which will complement nearly 180 weekly flights to 21 destinations in Europe, Africa, Middle East from its main hub at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. The airline also has more flights scheduled from Atlanta to Paris and Venice.
Los Angeles (LAX)
From the U.S. West Coast, Delta will extend year-round its new service between Los Angeles and Auckland beginning Oct. 28, 2023, the route will have daily flights in the winter and three weekly flights in the summer. The airline will also increase operation between LAX and Sydney to two daily flights starting in December.
In addition, the airline will expand its flights in mainland China with the return of nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Shanghai-Pudong beginning March 31, 2024. Delta serves 13 international cities from LAX, including Paris, London, Tokyo-Haneda, Sydney and other destinations in Mexico and Canada.
More flights to popular vacation destinations
Delta will also expand its schedule by adding additional flights to popular vacation destinations in Europe next summer. The schedule includes more flights to Paris from Cincinnati and Detroit; Barcelona from New York JFK; Reykjavik from Detroit; and Athens from Boston.
