Delta Air Lines is expanding its transatlantic network by adding a new service between Florida and Europe beginning October 26, 2024 with a nonstop flight between Orlando and London-Heathrow.
With this new route, Orlando will become the airline’s only connection between Florida and the United Kingdom and the eighth destination the airline serves from the British capital’s main airport.
This service complements the current operation of its transatlantic partner Virgin Atlantic which provides daily flights between Orlando and London Heathrow, Delta is also strengthening its network between Florida and Europe with the resumption of its seasonal service between Tampa and Amsterdam.
«In partnership with Virgin Atlantic, our new route between Orlando and London seamlessly connects two diverse destinations, offering customers a wealth of experiences on both sides of the Atlantic. Floridians can explore London’s historic landmarks, such as Buckingham Palace, and enjoy world-class dining, while Londoners can escape to Orlando’s sunny beaches and world-famous attractions,» said Matteo Curcio, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.
This seasonal service will be scheduled four flights a week through March 29, using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft offering Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin products. Onboard, customers will have access to free Wi-Fi and mobile messaging.
Delta’s flights to and from the UK are operated in conjunction with its transatlantic partners Virgin Atlantic, Air France and KLM. Between Delta and Virgin Atlantic they will provide up to 187 weekly flights from London-Heathrow to 14 U.S. destinations this winter, including Miami, Tampa and Orlando in Florida and Delta’s hubs in Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York JF and Salt Lake City.
