Embraer Announces the Sale of Six A-29 Super Tucano to an Undisclosed Customer
These Super Tucano will have enhanced capabilities for defense and advanced training missions.
Embraer has announced a firm order from an undisclosed customer for six A-29 Super Tucano light attack and advanced training aircraft. This order will be included in the Q4 2024 backlog, with deliveries expected to take place in 2026.
The aircraft will feature enhanced capabilities to conduct missions such as air interdiction, tactical air support, maritime patrol, maritime attack, and other territorial defense operations.
“We are very pleased to announce new sales of the A-29 Super Tucano, as we believe this aircraft is ideal for many countries around the world,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defence & Security. “The A-29 is a global leader in its category because it is an extremely advanced, reliable aircraft with a proven track record.”

The multi-mission A-29 Super Tucano provides air forces with versatility for missions such as armed reconnaissance, tactical air support, light attack, and advanced training on a single platform, exponentially increasing the aircraft’s availability and operational flexibility. Its robust structure allows it to operate on unpaved runways and in challenging environments.
The A-29 Super Tucano is the world leader in its category, with more than 290 units ordered, accumulating over 570,000 flight hours, 60,000 of which are in combat. In 2024, Embraer announced new Super Tucano sales to the Portuguese Air Force (A-29N), the Uruguayan Air Force, and the Paraguayan Air Force.
