Embraer Legacy 600 executive jets incorporate Starlink
The installation process required minimal structural modifications.
This milestone marks the first Legacy 600 aircraft equipped with Starlink technology, further expanding the list of approved aircraft and increasing Starlink's accessibility for more owners and operators, according to our partner publication Aeroin.
"For Business Jet, it is an honor to participate in the certification process with one of our aircraft. We are proud not only to offer high-quality solutions to our clients but also to actively contribute to the industry's advancements," said Chris Wright, CEO.

The installation process on the Legacy 600 required minimal structural modifications and followed a timeline similar to that of previously approved aircraft models. "With additional installations planned for several models, we appreciate Starlink's commitment to streamlining this process and helping to deliver satisfying experiences to owners," Wright added.
Since the Legacy 600 is an executive version of the regional ERJ-135 aircraft, the modification was also extended to this commercial model, as well as the larger ERJ-145 and its executive version, the Legacy 650. All four models are covered under FAA STC number ST04219NY.
Approval from Brazil's ANAC and Europe's EASA is still pending, but it is expected soon. In Brazil, only Bombardier Global 6000/6500/7500 and Global Express/XRS executive jets, as well as Beechcraft Super King Air 200/300 turboprops, have been approved for Starlink antenna installation.
Currently, Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) are available for various other commercial aircraft models in the U.S., including Bombardier and Gulfstream jets. In commercial aviation, larger aircraft such as the Embraer E175, Airbus A220, and Boeing 777 are already utilizing fast satellite internet technology for passenger connectivity.
