Emirates Airline has signed an interline agreement with Air Peace, the largest airline in West Africa, to enhance travel connectivity to and from Nigeria. This partnership will allow passengers to access 13 new cities within the country through single-ticket bookings and a streamlined baggage process.
Expanded Connectivity Across Nigeria
Under the agreement, passengers traveling between Dubai and Lagos can now seamlessly connect to destinations such as:
- Asaba, Akure, Benin City, Calabar, Enugu, Ilorin, Kaduna, and Owerri.
Additionally, business travelers will have access to key hubs including:
- Abuja, Kano, Uyo, Port Harcourt, and Warri, strengthening trade and business ties between Nigeria and the UAE, according to Emirates.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, stated:
"Emirates is a strong partner of Nigeria’s tourism, trade, and aviation sectors. This partnership with Air Peace is the next step in enhancing our connectivity and offering more travel options for business and leisure travelers, as well as those visiting family and friends in Nigeria."
Oluwatoyin Olajide, Chief Operating Officer of Air Peace, emphasized that the agreement reinforces Nigeria’s global connectivity:
"This collaboration not only expands Air Peace’s route network, but also enhances seamless access for passengers arriving from Dubai to key destinations within Nigeria."
Growing Fleets and Premium Services
Emirates currently operates daily flights between Dubai and Lagos using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which provide a premium onboard experience, including an entertainment system featuring 23 Nigerian films alongside international content.
Meanwhile, Air Peace operates a diverse fleet, including:
- Seven Boeing 737-300s
- Three Boeing 737-500s
- One Boeing 737-700
- Four Boeing 737-800s
- One Boeing 777-200
- Two Boeing 777-300s
- Five Embraer E195-E2s
- Eight ERJ-145s

Emirates’ Expanding Presence in Africa
Emirates’ growth strategy in Africa is supported by a network of strategic partnerships. The airline currently maintains:
- 5 codeshare agreements
- 19 interline agreements
These partnerships enable Emirates to connect with 223 destinations across the region, further solidifying its position as a leading global airline in Africa’s aviation market.
