Emirates Enhances Services for Fasting Passengers During Ramadan
Emirates facilita el viaje de los pasajeros durante Ramadán con servicios exclusivos, que incluyen comidas tradicionales, entretenimiento temático y asistencia especial para peregrinos con destino a La Meca.
As part of the holy month of Ramadan, Emirates is implementing a range of services for fasting passengers, both onboard and in its lounges and boarding gates. The airline will provide thousands of meal boxes, religious content on its entertainment system, and traditional dishes in its facilities.
The airline regularly supports passengers during special occasions, such as the Onam harvest festival celebrated in October 2024 in Kerala, India, and more recently, Valentine’s Day in February.

Iftar Boxes at Boarding Gates
At selected Emirates boarding gates, fasting passengers will receive a complimentary iftar box, including water, laban, a banana, and dates, allowing them to break their fast at sunset.
To ensure accuracy in imsak (fasting start) and iftar (fast breaking) times, Emirates uses a real-time calculation tool based on the aircraft’s latitude, longitude, and altitude. When the sun sets, the captain officially announces the exact iftar time.

Onboard Ramadan Meal Boxes
Throughout Ramadan, Emirates will offer nutritionally balanced meal boxes on all flights to selected destinations. Designed with Islamic geometric patterns, these boxes will include options such as hummus or moutabel with Arabic bread, traditional sweets like walnut baklava, almond chocolate, and apricot bites, as well as snacks like chicken zaatar and mozzarella wrap or lamb shawarma with halloumi cheese. These meals will be served in addition to the regular hot meal service.
Special Services for Pilgrims Traveling to Mecca
Passengers flying to Jeddah and Medina as part of their pilgrimage to Mecca will receive iftar boxes. Additionally, they can check in up to five liters of Zamzam water free of charge at DXB and various terminals in Saudi Arabia.
Religious and Cultural Content on the ice Entertainment System
During Ramadan, Emirates’ ice entertainment system will feature religious content in Arabic and Urdu, including "Hadi Al Nabi," "Kalimat Fi Hob Al Rasool," and "Ramadan Ki Fazilat." The Quran recitation will also be available.
Passengers can also enjoy popular series like "Sadaf," "Dawaay Al Safar," and "Al Uqda," as well as the podcast "Hikmat Wehbi." The ice system offers over 6,500 entertainment channels, including 450 Arabic movies and TV programs and 400 music and podcast options in Arabic.

Special Ramadan Training for Emirates Crew
Emirates has developed a special training program on Ramadan for its crew and ground staff in Dubai and other locations. This program helps teams understand the cultural significance of Ramadan, recognize religious practices, and provide a service tailored to passengers' needs during their journey.
