Emirates Unveils First Cargo Aircraft with New Livery
The UAE flag on the tail had previously only been applied to passenger aircraft.
Emirates has officially introduced its first cargo aircraft featuring the airline’s new livery. Launched in late 2023 on a giant Airbus A380, the refreshed Emirates design brings a modernized brand identity. Until now, the updated livery had only been applied to passenger aircraft, including the Boeing 777-200LR, 777-300ER, and A380-800.
In this new design, the UAE flag on the tail appears more dynamic and fluid, with an artistic 3D effect. The wingtips are painted red, featuring the Emirates logo in Arabic calligraphy, according to Emirates' media partner Aeroin.
The gold "Emirates" lettering on the fuselage, displayed in both English and Arabic, is now 32.5% larger, making it more prominent. Meanwhile, the airline has retained its iconic red branding on the aircraft's belly, first introduced in 2005. Notably, the "Emirates.com" website URL has been removed from the livery.
The first cargo aircraft to feature this new look is registered as A6-EFV. Delivered in August 2023, it initially sported an all-white exterior with no mention of Emirates SkyCargo, the airline’s cargo division.
The painting process was completed on February 10, and on Sunday, February 23, the freshly painted Boeing 777F flew to Brazil, passing through Guarulhos Airport with its updated design. Emirates also released a behind-the-scenes video showcasing the painting process of the 777F.
